WHAT THE DIFFERENT EVENTS ARE:

'THREES'

'Threes' – or 'Conversations in Presence' – is a gentle process of disclosure and silence. It uses a 'time spiral', providing a formal structure within which to rest. There is usually a theme to start the evening off, although there is no knowing where the Spirit will lead us from there... We normally run from 7 to around 10. This is not an evening where we formally share food, although there are always nibbles to keep the wolf from the door!

'WAY BEYOND RELIGION'

A shared meal, liturgy and reflection constructed around the phases of the Church calendar. 7–10 pm.

'OPEN CIRCLE'

A themed evening of contemplation, sharing and questioning, usually incorporating a passage from the day's lectionary and sometimes some lectio divina as a reflective tool. 7-10 pm.

'PILGRIMAGE TO NOW/HERE'

A walk in God, nature and the present moment. We start with a cup of coffee and some reflective time, then set off on a circular walk of around 3-4 miles (with regular pauses), part of which happens in silence. We usually take in a local place of worship, or some kind of 'inside place', allowing us to explore contrasting ways of being with and in the presence of God. We finish by eating our packed lunches together and reflecting on the journey. Bring sturdy footwear / waterproofs (depending on the season) and a packed lunch.

Notes: A donation towards Contemplative Fire costs and resources is appreciated.
