Exploring Christ Consciousness

A workshop jointly hosted by Contemplative Fire and CANA (Christians Awakening to a New Awareness)

Saturday 23 February 2008 10.30am to 4.00pm

During this day we will explore together the meaning of Christ Consciousness – a term which is becoming more widely used and is a useful concept in inter-pilgrim dialogue.

Philip Roderick of Contemplative Fire and Don MacGregor and Gillian Paschkes-Bell, who are members of CANA will each give a presentation on the subject and enter a ‘fishbowl’ style discussion (where the participants sit in the centre of the room and onlookers sit around them). This will be followed by various forms of group exploration.

Presenters:

Philip Roderick is an Anglican Priest and founder/director of ‘The Quiet Garden Movement’ and ‘Contemplative Fire’, one of the new expressions of Church licensed by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Don MacGregor is an Anglican Priest, formerly a Chaplain at Loughborough University and now a Parish Priest in Fishguard. His writing includes an article on ‘God as Consciousness’ and a discussion paper on Christian perspectives on Re-incarnation.

Gillian Paschkes-Bell lives at Findhorn Community – Scotland and has studied theology at Heythrop and Mansfield, Oxford. She is a faculty member of the Interfaith Seminary Scotland and has published a paper on Christ Consciousness.
